If the target is genuinely impossible for that document, it says so and hands you the smallest usable file, instead of quietly destroying the quality and letting you find out after you have submitted.

Your documents never leave the phone
This is the same principle QRaft is built on. Scanfox has no servers and no account — scanning, OCR, translation, compression and encryption all run on the device, and your files are never uploaded. It does not request camera or storage permissions at all. The only things touching the network are Google's ad and billing SDKs, which is spelled out in full on the Scanfox privacy policy.
That matters more than usual here, because the documents people compress for forms are exactly the sensitive ones: ID cards, bank statements, mark sheets, passports.

Compression and rendering run across every core your phone has. A 514-page, 122 MB scanned book compressed to 1.3 MB in about 100 seconds on a 4 GB entry-level device. How do I compress a PDF to exactly 200 KB?
Open the file in Scanfox, choose Compress, then pick the 200 KB preset or type your own limit in KB, MB or GB. Scanfox works down to that ceiling and saves the result. If the target is genuinely impossible for that document, it tells you and gives you the smallest usable file instead of silently wrecking the quality.
Is Scanfox free, and does it add a watermark?

Do my documents get uploaded anywhere?
